I mad...I confess, I tried to read The Hunger Games. I made it to the third or so chapter, then I knew basically how it would end and quit. I am sure they are good books, just not the type I like 8-D I might be the only human being to think so. But, I did enjoy your review.

Endings are so hard. Especially endings when the whole series has had a hint of sadness in it. Writers always have to be careful because a bad ending and, the series flops for the reader. They feel betrayed, lost, and like they're best friend just dashed out on them without any good explanation. The reader puts as much work into the book as the writer, in a manner of speaking, and they deserve well planned endings.

I ran into this trouble with my series. And will do so with another. Most endings are easy if the book is a lighter tale, one with less sorrow in it. But if the characters suffer so many grief and hardship, the ending needs a lot of time put into it.

I rant about that because this isn't the first series I've heard of with a disappointing ending. In fact, almost every book I hear talked of lately has one.

I think authors need to read The Lord of The Rings more. Now, that was a sad, hopeless feeling series. War, death, destruction. No hope of Frodo or the others winning. But, they did, and yet, the ending - while being so happy - was also so sad, as they all had to part ways.

Anyhow, there is my long, ranting thoughts 8-D

A Bit Unlikely,
JackJackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04395502314886308773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1254670509261642365.post-21383188990147690412012-04-08T21:04:22.225-07:002012-04-08T21:04:22.225-07:00I'm sending this to three different places so ...I'm sending this to three different places so I will be sure to find you.

You have no idea how much I want to hug you right now.
